Pewterers' Masters and Clerks Dinner

The Master and Wardens of the Pewterers' Company extended a very kind invitation to the Clerk and me to join them for dinner in their hall. There was a large turnout of Masters and Clerks from largely Ancient Liveries, so it was good to meet other Masters not normally on our circuit. Many I had met at the Lord Mayor's weekend, but our paths had not crossed since.
An interesting dinner of scallops and bacon was followed by pork wrapped in pancetta with marsala sauce. A welcome change.
The Master made a fine speech, and a stirrup cup was enjoyed.
