Wizardry in Wood

28th October 2025

Plaisterers' Hall

We were invited to the Wizardry in Wood Exhibition by the Master Turner and Consort. Held only once every four years, this unique exhibition is a celebration of creativity, craftsmanship and the enduring magic of woodturning.

There are three halls of modern and ancient examples of the craft and competitions for turners of all specialist skills. A fascinating exhibition. It runs until Friday, 31st October, well worth a visit.

Eagle-eyed Past Master Elise Rasumussen spotted a 'Miser's' snuff box. No evidence of the skills of wooden pipe making, though.
