Company Golf Day

The Tobacco Pipe Makers and Tobacco Blenders' Annual Golf Day took place on Thursday 26 June 2025.
This year’s annual golf day was once again held at the wonderful Tandridge club - on a rather windy but dry summer’s day. Tandridge, as always, was in magnificent condition with lightning-fast greens which proved somewhat of a challenge!
We had 14 golfers (6 members from the Company and 8 guests), and we shared the day with the Old Davorians (Dover College) who had 10 players. Past Master Michael Walter happens to be an OD.
Following the early morning registration, players set off in groups of 4 for 4 hours of golf – returning to the clubhouse to join non-playing members for a well-deserved drink before entering the dining room for the signature Tandridge carvery lunch – outstanding, followed by a choice of puddings and of course the famous Tandridge Pudding!
The Master and Consort joined us for lunch, as did another 5 Liverymen/guests: Past Master Michael Walter and Hilary, Herchel Jordan, and Liveryman Conrad Blakey and Jayne Gardner.
The Master gave a warm welcome speech to all before handing out the prizes as follows:
