Judges' Portraits display

The Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers held a one night exhibition of Old Bailey Judges' portraits at Painters' Hall. Painted by portrait artist Jane Masojada during her time as Sheriff Bronek Masojada's Consort 2023-2024, Carolyn had unfortunately missed the unveiling of the portraits at the Old Bailey earlier in the year, so was very pleased to be able to go to the reception held at the Painters' Hall.
Joined by other Masters and their Consorts, some of the Judges were also there to prove how well they matched their portraits. The Judges' bench is now evenly split between men and women, and we had some interesting discussions about how the split has shifted over recent years.
The portraits have all been purchased by their subjects, raising additional funds for the Sheriffs' and Recorder's Fund.
