Livery Committee Reception
6th June 2024I am fortunate that my neighbour across the fields is currently Master of the Wheelwrights Livery Company. We can therefore share transport to pan livery events such as the Livery Committee Reception, held at the Grocer's Hall, on 6th June, which makes the journey more tolerable!
The reception was addressed by Committee Chair, Deputy Philip Woodhouse, who spoke about the forthcoming Livery Weekend in London and other subjects. The precise details of the Livery Weekend have been a closely guarded secret so it will be interesting to see how it turns out in reality!
The rest of the evening was spent meeting other Masters and Clerks. Given that it was the day after my installation, unsurprisingly I did not know many faces, and very much felt the new kid on the block! Very nice drink and canapes at the Grocer's Hall, so thank you to them.
